Eric A. Lanigan
Eric A. Lanigan, partner at Lanigan & Lanigan, P.L., has spent 35 years and 80 percent of his practice dedicated to aggressive business and civil litigation.
“There’s not much I haven’t litigated, from basic employment contract disputes to suits for defending for non-performance, to collecting damages in class action suits,” Lanigan said. “I’ve worked on just about any kind of contract you can think of.”
Eric Lanigan is experienced in legal management of corporations and individuals facing or in the middle of financial distress. He handles sophisticated corporate and securities matters for domestic businesses and has represented clients in complex litigation matters.
He has represented creditors, trustees, lenders, committees, and acquirers. He deploys legal solutions ranging from negotiation to mediation, arbitration, litigation, reorganization, liquidation, and acquisition.
Eric assists clients in numerous industries including securities investment losses, real estate, small and large businesses and corporations and construction. Distressed businesses often have a legacy of undetected or unsolved legal issues that can impede or doom prospects of recovery.
Eric advises clients while addressing an array of legal issues such as organizational and management structure, fiduciary duty obligations, sales and acquisitions, contracts, fraudulent transfers, voidable preferences, property rights, compensation and employment, regulatory compliance, antitrust, intellectual property and insurances.
Drawing on decades of legal experience with Central Florida’s businesses and individuals, Eric commits a portion of his practice to providing general legal counsel and advice to healthy businesses in an effort to help them prevent legal problems and avoid business failures, circumventing the cost of litigating unresolved issues later. He is dedicated to the success of every client and is passionate about the legal practice.
